Sun Poker is a skin on the iPoker Network. I have banned all iPoker skins from this site due to shady practices, poor software and an overall poor poker experience. Sun Poker has never ripped off or cheated any players but I can't say the same about their network. It's a lot like a Mcdonalds. You may love the team at your local Mcdonalds but they still get their food from their corporate overlords. If they decide to start serving hamburgers made out of 90% beans and 10% beef I'm sure you are not going to eat there anymore. The same is true for most poker networks. If the network decided they they are going to not honor a network-wide promotion or pay players on time there isn't much the skin owners can do about it. Sun Poker does not accept players from the USA anyway so it shouldn't be a big deal to most of you. The rooms listed below each accept American players and a couple of them are 10X larger than the entire iPoker network.

2012 - Sun Poker has been providing a superior, secure online poker experience to its members since 2001, having transferred more than $7 billion without a single incident of fraudulent activity. Powered by CryptoLogic software, Sun Poker sees its fair share of player traffic, drawn by numerous valuable bonuses and promotional campaigns and a full, well structured tournament schedule. Players can choose to download the software (or play instantly) in USD or GBP currencies, or just play for fun. US players are not accepted at this time.
The online poker room supplies two separate bonuses to accommodate both USD and GBP players. New members can earn up to $500 (or £250) without even making an initial deposit! The amount of the bonus awarded is based on the new player’s point accumulation over the first month of membership. Collecting 160 points awards a $20 (£10) bonus, scaling up to the full $500 (£250) for 5,000 points. A player can enter Freerolls to keep their bankroll stocked and continue collecting points towards the bonus, in essence making a profit without ever having risked (or even deposited) their own money.
In addition, players receive the same treatment every subsequent month, awarding a points-respective bonus of $200 (£100) for collecting enough points in the current month. Again, 160 points awards a $20 (£10) bonus, scaling up to $200 (£100) for earning 1,600 points.
Cryptologic is the driving force behind Sun Poker, supplying the highly functional software that runs the online poker room. By download or instant Flash play, the software is quite fast and compatible with all operating systems (download for Windows, Flash for Mac/Linux). Sun Poker is graphically vibrant and appealing, without too much clutter blocking your view at the tables. Note taking is available during play, with essential lobby stats that include average pot, viewed-flop % and hands per hour.
Sun Poker has introduced a beta version of a Hand Analyzer, a comprehensive online poker tool that tracks a player’s hands for in-depth analysis. This free download is meant to help poker players fine tune their skills and become a better poker player over time.
em>Sun Poker has a relatively low selection of poker games to choose from, except for the unique addition of Hold’Em Blackjack. Regular games include Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud and Horse poker, varying between Limit, Pot Limit and No Limit.
Sun Poker has a full range of online poker tournaments worth at least $4,000,000 guaranteed every month. Tournaments are designed to fit any bankroll, with buy-ins starting at $3 and ranging up into the hundreds. Daily Guaranteeds, offering $5k to $25k prize pools, draw a large number of players, as does the largest regularly scheduled tournament, a £40,000 GP held every Sunday. Direct buy-in is £110+ £10, with satellites starting as low as £10+ £1.
30k Monthly Leaderboards: Each month at Sun Poker, the best of the best tournament players earn leaderboard points as they compete for their share of $30,000.

Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot: When playing at a regular Texas Hold’Em cash game, any player who loses a hand with Quad-Jacks or better will release the Bad Beat jackpot, starting at $2,500 and increasing $150/day until won.
